Tier 3 Update
Following the news yesterday that Surrey has gone into Tier 3, the first team's fixtures versus Barnet this Saturday and Hampton & Richmond Borough on Boxing Day will be behind closed doors. Whilst this is of course highly disappointing, we remain confident that spectators will be permitted to Elite football following the review scheduled for December 31st.
Both season ticket holders and ticket purchasers were emailed yesterday and given options for these games, including the club's live streaming service and the option to transfer to another fixture of their choice in 2021.
Manager Marc White commented: "It was so positive seeing the supporters back at Meadowbank Stadium at the last two competitive games, so it is of course hugely disappointing that they can't attend both on Saturday and Boxing Day. That said, we are extremely fortunate to have such loyal and passionate supporters, and I'm sure that they will continue to support the club via our fantastic streaming service during these highly testing times".
White continued: "I'm convinced that there will be some positive news for fans of Step 2 clubs following the review at the end of December, and the good news is that whilst first team fixtures can't be attended there will still be accessible football at Meadowbank, with fans permitted at Reserves, U18s and Ladies fixtures".
