PATTENDEN JOINS THE WANDERERS
Dorking Wanderers are today delighted to announce the loan signing of winger Jasper Pattenden from Wycombe Wanderers.

Jasper, 20, started out as a youth player within the Brighton & Hove Albion academy, moving across Sussex in 2018 to join Worthing FC. He would go on to feature regularly for the club in the Isthmian Premier Division and be part of the side that would finish top in the two Covid-curtailed seasons, ahead of winning the title last term as promotion to the National League South was achieved for the first time. Scoring the club's 100th and final goal of the league season, Jasper capped a memorable campaign by being awarded the club's 'Young Player Of The Year' for 2021/22.
Catching the eye of Wycombe Wanderers development squad coach Sam Grace during a trial, the League One side would make Jasper their first signing of the summer back in July. Making his debut for The Chairboys on August 9th in the EFL first-round cup win over Northampton Town, Jasper would make his first league appearance the following week against Exeter City.
Joining Dorking on loan until January 3rd, Jasper says:
'It's an exciting opportunity for me. It's a club I'm very familiar with in terms of the staff and management - I know Marc and I've got that familiarity with Mark Beard from my time at Brighton, so I understand what the club wants to do. When the opportunity came up to join on loan until January, I felt it was one that would be good for me - playing regular minutes at a club that plays fantastic football. I'm really looking forward to getting started and helping the boys in any way I can.'
Manager Marc White adds:
'Jasper is someone that we've known for several years being part of Worthing's really successful team and as a well-regarded player. He's an exciting winger that can play on both sides, an amazing character and will fit into the club really well. As a youth player at Brighton, he was coached by Mark Beard. We're really excited to have him on board.'
