LOAN UPDATE | OLLIE ALLEN, CAMERON BLACK & JOSH WILSON
Ahead of the Wanderers first team returning for pre-season just before the end of this month, we can confirm the following players have moved out on season-long loans for the 23/24 campaign.
Ollie Allen
Following loan spells at Burgess Hill Town and then Leatherhead last term, midfielder Ollie will be playing his football at newly promoted Walton & Hersham in the Southern Premier South Division next season.
After achieving an impressive third straight promotion last term, The Swans will be competing at Step 3 for the first time in over a decade for 23/24, and Ollie will be making a swift return to Meadowbank in just a few weeks time as Walton & Hersham are Wanderers first opponents of pre-season on Saturday July 8th.
Cameron Black
Confirmed earlier this afternoon, defender Cameron will be continuing at Step 3 level next term by joining Cray Wanderers in the Isthmian Premier Division.
After winning the 'Club Player of The Year Award' at the conclusion of the 21/22 season following a couple of loan spells at Leatherhead, Cam was sent out on loan to Hayes & Yeading and then Bognor Regis Town last term, finishing the campaign by starting in the Sussex Senior Cup final against Worthing at The Amex Stadium back in May. Despite suffering defeat on penalties after the game finished 0-0 at 90 minutes, Cam's defensive work in the contest was acknowledged with the Man of The Match award.
Finishing in the play-off places last season, Cam will be joining a Cray side no doubt looking to push for another top six finish in the Isthmian Premier Division in 23/24.
Josh Wilson
Announced on June 7th, goalkeeper Josh has joined Isthmian South Central side Chipstead for next season. A regular for the Wanderers B team last term, Josh was key in Ruben Gaspar's side being defensively resolute throughout a campaign which saw a 3rd placed finish in the league and a couple of strong runs in the cup competitions.
Moving up a couple of steps for his development next season, Josh will be part of a new era at Chipstead which has recently seen a new management team installed for 23/24, including former Wanderers midfielder Lewis Taylor taking up a coaching role at the club.
We wish all players moving out on loan the very best of luck and every success for the season ahead.
