TILLEY JOINS THE WANDERERS ON ONE MONTH LOAN

Dorking Wanderers have secured the services of James Tilley from League Two side Crawley Town on a one month loan deal.

The 23 year old attacking midfielder progressed through the ranks at Brighton & Hove Albion before being transferred to Grimsby Town in 2019. Tilley made 24 appearances for “The Mariners” and scored 2 goals, before returning south to Crawley Town in January 2021. Whilst at Brighton & Hove Albion he also had loan spells at Cork City and Yeovil Town, where he made 19 appearances.

Manager Marc White said: “James is an exceptional talent who I have no doubt whatsoever will advance swiftly up the football ladder. He is really popular with the Crawley fans and had a great impact following his arrival. A recent injury has left him short of valuable game time, and John (Yems) was keen to get him a run of games in order for him to return to full fitness”. White continued: “We look forward to welcoming James and his family to Meadowbank for the month ahead, where they will be well looked after, and we appreciate everybody’s help at Crawley in getting this agreement in place”.

Tilley goes straight into the squad for Wanderers away league fixture at Chelmsford City this Saturday, 4th September, 3pm kick off.
