Hospitality Team Update | Meadowbank Stadium

Dorking Wanderers have today confirmed some internal changes to the hospitality team at Meadowbank Stadium as the new season gets underway and footfall returns following the close season.

Sam Agent, who has been a key member of the F&B management team for over 5 years, has been promoted to Head of Hospitality Operations, and will be heading up the teams and outlets delivering food and drink across the site for both general opening and match-days.

Sam will be supported by John Pettet, who as General Manager will continue to use his vast catering and F&B experience to support key infrastructure, logistics and output at the ground.

Matt Howlett will continue to manage match day operations, both in terms of planning and execution for first team home and away fixtures. Matt’s role includes training and managing the excellent and ever growing team of volunteers who support first team matches.

Charlene Northfield has been promoted to Lounge Manager, and will be responsible for managing this highly popular venue, and it’s respective staff, which is open 7 days a week.

Sharon Dickinson will work closely with Charlene as Events Manager, using her extensive experience in events and hospitality to secure, plan and deliver first class functions via The Lounge.

Sue Brown has been promoted to Kitchen Manager, where she will be responsible for day-to-day management including menus, stock and staffing to ensure consistent output from this ever-busy, key part of the ground.

Sue will be supported by Alanna Crispin as Assistant Kitchen Manager, who will continue to play a key part in the preparation and delivery of food and customer service including the pitch-side hatch.

Executive Director Kris Lea said: “As our business and club grows it’s important to ensure that we have the right infrastructure and experience to efficiently deliver off the pitch day to day, and I’m confident that our new management team will do this given their vast experience in their respective areas”.

Lea continued: “There is of course a large team of part-time and casual staff who equally play their part in supporting all of the above, including the Lounge, Fan Zone, catering outlets and kitchen, on match days and more, all of whom are absolutely vital to our club and deserve a big thank you for their ongoing commitment and hard work”.
