DW ACADEMY TALENT ID DAYS
Dorking Wanderers Academy in association with Virtual Learning UK are hosting FREE Talent ID days where talented young girls and boys aged 15-17 will be assessed by UEFA A/B licence and professional coaches, as well as senior staff from Dorking Wanderers First Team. The days consist of a number of sessions testing the players technical ability, decision making, social skills & physical attributes. The sessions are designed to allow players with varying strengths to showcase their individual talent and game understanding.
Following the event, players demonstrating the required level of ability may be offered a chance to combine their education (subject to meeting entry requirements) with a professional football education/pathway.
Jordan Clark, Director of Football & Education at Dorking Wanderers FC said: “Our long-term aim here at DWFA is to continuously impact on the lives of every learner, player and staff member we have the privilege to work with day in day out. We have a proven track record of producing elite players for our first team and the professional game, but have a far more holistic approach to the whole programme than one that focuses on solely the playing side. We recognise that the success of the Academy is a partnership between the player, parent and staff, with all parties playing an active role to support the player in achieving his/her goals."
Clark continued: 'At Dorking Wanderers we continue to strive to improve all elements of the Academy programme and demand that players registered in our programme do the same. Our talent ID days will be packed with professional experiences and we guarantee to broaden your understanding of how you can combine education and football to benefit your individual development. Sign up now before places are gone."
