CHEADLE SIGNS FOR THE WANDERERS

Dorking Wanderers have today announced the signing of Jordan Cheadle from neighbours Carshalton Athletic.

Cheadle, 31, is an experienced left-sided defender who has enjoyed spells at Kingstonian, Walton Casuals and (since 2017) Carshalton Athletic. He is a renowned dead ball specialist, who (despite playing in defence) often scores goals via free-kicks. Indeed, in his final season with Walton Casuals he chipped in with no fewer than 20 goals.

Manager Marc White said: “After watching him several times I’m delighted to add local lad Jordan to our ranks. He adds much needed height at the back, and we will also benefit from having an established dead ball specialist in the side. This, combined with his football intelligence and experience, will I’m sure make him a good fit for the Wanderers”.

Jordan joins Dorking Wanderers on dual reg with Carshalton Athletic, and goes straight into the squad for this Saturday’s league fixture at Chippenham Town.
